System Highlights

A highly automated company, PSL functions on an IBM RS6000 UNIX platform with a PICK operating system. PSL’s MIS staff is experienced with all major EDI transactions and can provide alternative computer to computer communications using several protocols. This combination allows for rapid program development and customization.

Customized programming - All systems are tailor-made for the customer reflecting their individual needs.

Load consolidation algorithms - Algorithms developed by Plant Site Logistics combine product to maximize weight or cube, reduce circuity, minimize miles between stop-offs, and maximize fully loaded miles all of which increase transportation efficiency for the dollars paid. Combinations also take advantage of forecasted warehouse dates to provide larger consolidation pools when applicable.

Automated tariffs /contracts - Carrier tariffs are computerized to allow interface with load consolidation algorithms and automated freight bill auditing.

Freight payment - Carrier freight payments are also automated. These payments can be made at time of delivery notification or upon pickup by carrier. Loads are immediately rated when loads are consolidated thus allowing payments to be made via direct deposit through the ACH network

Extended Original Contract - We have extended our original 3 year contract for an additional 3 years with John Deere Construction Equipment to provide complete logistics service on a customized basis.
